Overview:
The primary responsibility of this position is to assist the Project Management in delivering successful projects through a safe work environment, quality construction, effective LEAN planning and scheduling, cost management, collaboration with project stakeholders, and superior customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a desire for long-term growth, relationship building skills, who is career orientated and has a growing familiarity with the construction industry.
Essential Functions/ Major Responsibilities of a Project Engineer:
- Assists in coordination, direction, and scheduling of owner’s vendors and subcontractors
- Independently submit and manage RFIs (Request for Information)
- Independently create and manage submittal logs
- Coordinate change order management process
- Assist with calling vendors and subcontractors for proposals
- Assist with the obtaining of permits and licenses, checking zoning and code requirements
- Assist with report preparation, safety inspections, submittal logging and processing
- Support Mammoth, Inc.’s Safety Program
Computer Competency Requirements:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office 365
- Scheduling Software Knowledge is a plus
Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Extremely organized and detail oriented
- Basic knowledge of broad construction practices including, but not limited to, take-off, scheduling, pre-construction, personnel management, regular progression of a construction project, customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with reading and interpreting construction documents
- Problem-solver with exemplary work ethic
- Previous experience as a Project Manager Assistant or Project Engineer is a plus
