Office/Social Media Assistant

Overview:

We are looking for a reliable Office/Social Media Assistant. This person will undertake administrative tasks, ensuring the rest of the staff has adequate support to work efficiently. The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. They will be self-motivating and trustworthy. The Office/Social Media Assistant will aid in the smooth running of the office and contribute in driving continued growth.

 

Essential Functions/ Major Responsibilities of an Office/Social Media Assistant:

  • Directly assist administrators of the company, as they see fit
  • Develop and create engaging content for social media platforms (i.e. website and Facebook)
  • Answer phones, take messages, and redirect calls
  • Receive, scan, and file documents as necessary
  • Resolve office related malfunctions and respond to requests or issues
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with established policies
  • Order and regularly inventory office supplies
  • Generate opportunities to strengthen community presence
  • Maintain job postings under the direction of Human Resources
  • Welcome visitors
  • Assist Human Resources with scheduling as needed
  • Maintain forms, memorandums, and schedules
  • Assist Accounting department with bookkeeping, as necessary
  • Shipping and receiving clerk

 

Software Proficiency In:

  • Microsoft Windows
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Microsoft Word

  • This position requires long periods of sitting and standing, manual dexterity, and the ability to manage phones and computers to complete the job tasks. Must be able to complete essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Occasionally lift office products and supplies, typically not to exceed 20 pounds
